A trailer for the exhibition in Museum of London which included video interviews produced by Light Matter Productions. More details about the exhibition on: polishcreatives.org

Krzysztof Penderecki’s St. Luke Passion occupies a unique place in the music of the Twentieth Century. It was written to commemorate the seven hundredth anniversary of Munster Cathedral and its premiere in 1966 coincided with the thousandth anniversary of Christianity’s introduction into Poland. Few people could have predicted the immense impact the work had on its audience, the extraordinary critical acclaim it received and the palpable influence it has continued to have on subsequent composers all over the world. The model is Bach’s Passions and Penderecki also uses psalms and hymns to further increase the spiritual and emotive depth. This is the first time Penderecki’s masterpiece has been performed in the UK in nearly thirty years. This performance, given by Poland’s finest performers and conducted by the composer himself is a once-in-a-lifetime event. The setting of Canterbury Cathedral only adds to the extraordinary nature of this performance.Light Matter Productions was commissioned by the organisers to record this extraordinary event.

This performance choreographed by Yong-Min Cho with music composed by Rolf Gehlhaar took place in the gardens of Dulwich Picture Gallery and in front of the new work by Antoni Malinowski, the distinguished London-based Polish artist. Malinowski’s work is a meditation on light, colour, painting and the enduring significance of ephemeral gestures. The performance seems to translate this into the world of movements and bodies.Light Matter Productions was commissioned to film this event by the organisers of Polska!Year.

A few links to Polish TV

Here is what I’ve recently edited:

An interview with Dido

…shot and edited:

Revolutionary Road premiere

…and again shot and edited. A story about the archetypical Londoner:

Sherlock Holmes

Here’s an old project which is – I think – worth keeping on this brand new blog.
A charming love song from a Danish band called Isand (Anders Brandt and Elisabeth Ehrhardt). It’s a rather experimental music video which has only music recorded live.
